Gifts Baskets Ideas - Save Time and Money With These Gift Basket Ideas!
By Tim Faber
Save time and money with gift basket ideas that soothe the senses while providing rejuvenating skin care.
With the economy tightening, many people are putting together their own gift baskets and saving. An attractive basket or gift bag filled with skin care products are becoming a favorite as holiday gift baskets. Easy to assemble, spa and body products make the perfect gift for mothers, mothers in law and for that best friend - especially when they "have everything". Thoughtful and individualized, a gift basket you chose for that special person will be long remembered and enjoyed.
Skin products make excellent gifts baskets ideas. You can choose from a wide variety of products that will help relax or invigorate and you can tailor your basket to the individual - young or old. Many of our customers buy baskets from a local arts and crafts store and use a filler and a wrap to spice-up the package. Choose a thoughtful card and you're set - and it's always a gift that is well appreciated because it's from you - made by you.
An alternative to a basket is to buy a decorative bag at a local greeting card and gift shop. You can choose from a variety of paper inserts to match the bag and ribbons and bows are available to accent your gift basket. Many gift-givers have found this an easy and efficient way to give well-remembered gifts to friends and family.
Spa-quality skin care products that have been the most popular are body scrubs, body mists and body washes. You can find body scrubs in an assortment that is just right for the gift. Body scrubs use fine granules that gently exfoliate leaving the skin refreshed and clean. Turbinado sugar, dead sea salt and coffee are the most popular, but you can also find finely ground walnut and strawberry seed. Scrubs generally have light aromas that invigorate the senses while having therapeutic qualities - often coming from the primary ingredients or with blends that include shea butter or aloe.
Body mists are used primarly as a get-up-and-go refresher in the morning, afternoon and evening. Often blended with ingredients that soothe and moisturize, body mists help relax or invigorate with light fragrances. Aromas range from tropical or sweet to relaxing vanilla and lavendar.
Most body mists are matched with or complemented by body washes. Often gentle on the skin, body washes work to deep clean while providing an exciting and relaxing start to the day. Equally enjoyed in the bath or shower, fragrances are formulated to be light and airy to not overwhelm or negate cologne or perfume.
If you're looking to give a thoughtful and well appreciated gift basket, "doing it yourself" can help save time and money. Spa-quality skin care products are always well-received and remembered and make great gift basket ideas.

The Book is Back
By Selena Dunn
The Westin Book Cadillac Hotel had its grand re-opening on
October 25, 2008 with a fabulous Black Tie Charity Fund raising Gala with
tickets priced between $600 and $2500. The event was held in the newly restored
Woodward ballroom with a ribbon cutting ceremony to kick things off followed by
dinner and performances from Michael McDonald. It was a red carpet evening with
Detroit’s elite in attendance. Several hundred men and women dressed to the
nines represented a real sense of Fashionable Living in Detroit.
Cleveland Real Estate developer John Ferchill had a vision
and saw the vision come to fruition with the $200 million dollar re-birth of the
Westin Book Cadillac. The Westin Book has 32 floors, 453 rooms with nightly
rates ranging from $209 to $299, and first class services and amenities.
The 64 Book Cadillac's condominiums:
• 4 one-bedroom, 1 1/2 -bath
units start at $260,000.
• 6 two-bedroom,
2-bathroom units start at $350,000.
• 1 three-bedroom,
3-bathroom penthouse unit is $795,000.
Condos are located on floors 24-29, with 12
units per floor and 12 different floor plans that vary based on the building's
structure. 53 units are sold and 11 units are still available.
They come with hardwood in living areas, carpet
in bedrooms. An array of finishes is available for countertops in the kitchen
and bathrooms.
The
development represents the Next Chapter for the Book and progression for
Downtown Detroit's revival.
